Safavid Iran, 16th century
Persian manuscript on paper, 14ll. of black nasta'liq in two columns, orange, green and gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, headings in red, opening folio with illuminated heading, final folio with colophon signed by Ghiyath al-Din 'Ali al-Jami and dated 27 Dhu'l-Hijja AH 957/1550 AD (date tampered with, possibly once reading AH 1001/1592 AD), later brown morocco binding with gold tooled border - 21.1 x 13cm.
