A RARE PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE SAUCERS
SHUNZHI FOUR-CHARACTER MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1644-1661)

Each dish is painted in deep tones of blue with a central medallion with a qilin supporting books on a cloud, surrounded by four mythical beasts around the cavetto, the exterior with three detached sprays of prunus, pine and bamboo, all covered with a clear blue-tinged glaze (one with glaze flakes on rim)
