A VERY FINE PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE 'THREE FRIENDS' DISHES
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

Each finely potted, the interior medallion painted with bamboo sprays growing out of crevices of angular rocks between flowering prunus and a gnarled pine tree, forming the 'Three Friends of Winter', within a double circle border repeated on the everted rim, the exterior decorated with a lady seated on a terrace observing two boys at play in a garden beneath willow trees
