Chrysanthemum-shaped dishes appear in a complete set of twelve colours, with the most notable set, all with Yongzheng marks, in the Beijing Palace Museum, illustrated in Monochrome Porcelain, The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Hong Kong, 1999, pl. 257. However, the pale celadon glaze does not appear to be among the twelve colours of the set. Compare with a brown-glazed chrysanthemum dish from the H. M. Knight collection, offered in this same sale, lot 603.

A Qianlong dish of this shape and with this pale celadon glaze was included in the Oriental Ceramic Society exhibition Iron in the Fire, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 1988, illustrated in the Catalogue, no. 83. It is interesting to compare Yongzheng-period chrysanthemum dishes with those produced during the Qianlong reign, as the latter have more smoothly rounded petals, considerably less pointed than those on Yongzheng examples.
