Set with a cushion-shaped emerald weighing 11.19 carats surrounded by a row of honey bees, each with an oval-cut diamond head and wings, and circular-cut diamond flowerhead spacers, to the leaf motif band, mounted in platinum and 18k gold, ring size 5¾

With certificate 37987 dated 4 October 2001 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin and with no indications of clarity enhancement

Further details

Most of the world's finest emeralds are mined at Muzo and Chivor in Colombia. However, because of the unstable conditions during the crystallisation process and their brittle nature, emeralds are often heavily flawed with fractures and inclusions. Thus, stones over 10.00 carats, produced by nature, of good colour and free of eye visible inclusions are extremely rare.

The 11.19 carat natural emerald offered here is one of the most exceptional - in its pure and rich green colour, with minor inclusions and no clarity enhancement.
