A FINE MASSIVE FAMILLE VERTE DISH
Kangxi (1662-1722)
With shallow rounded sides, the interior enamelled with a basket of flowers surrounded by panels containing exotic birds including pheasants and phoenix perched among auspicious flowers and fruits, alternating with petal-shaped panels containing precious antique objects, the rim with dragon panels and lotus roundels reserved on various diaper grounds, the reverse enamelled with an interlocking stylised lotus scroll, the base with an underglaze blue lingzhi mark within a double circle, some very small rim chips
25 in. (63.5 cm.) diam.
