Mark of Humbert & Sohn, Berlin, 1821-1841
Of baluster form, melon-fluted, on shaped circular pedestal foot, with foliate scroll borders, the body chased with acanthus leaf and rocaille borders, the scroll handle with ivory insulators, the hinged slightly domed cover with detachable flower finial, the spout with hinged cover, the cover engraved with FWR monogram with Royal Prussian crown above for King Friedrich Wilhelm III or IV, and engraved below foot B. Fr., marked on base, also engraved with scratchweight
