A set of four German silver salt-cellars and four salt-spoons
The salt-cellars with mark of Carl Ludwig Kraus, Berlin, 1817, further marked URG, the spoons unmarked, early 19th century
Each with fluted shell-shaped bowl on three acanthus capped lion's paw monopodiae and shaped triangular base with central rosette, the bowls each engraved with initials PA with Royal Prussian crown above and later with FW cypher with Prussian Royal crown above for Prince Friedrich Wilhelm, later King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, each marked on lip of shell, numbered 7, 8, 9 and 13 and with scratchweights, the spoons each with shell bowl and with fluted handles, with acanthus foliage and anthemion finials
