Mark of Humbert & Sohn, Berlin, 1842-43
Shaped circular, the shallow melon-fluted bowl on conforming detachable pedestal base supported on four volute feet, the stem formed as a textured grapevine with fruit and foliage, the foliage extending to hold the bowl, the field engraved with FW cypher with Royal Prussian crown above, presumably for Prince Friedrich Wilhelm, later King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, marked on foot-rim
