A German parcel-gilt beaker and cover
Circa 1900, with indistinct marks
In the medieval style, on three ball feet, the lower part of the body applied with lobed sleeve, engraved above with a band of scrolling foliage, a woman in medieval dress, a winged putto begging, putti harvesting fruit and a shaped cartouche enclosing the initial A with Royal Prussian crown above for Empress Auguste, wife of Emperor Wilhelm I, with associated detachable lobed cover with bud finial, indistinctly marked on rim
