Lombardy, late 18th Century
Cross banded overall, the square top inlaid with a central roundel of scrolling foliage, framed by a stiff-leaf border, above a panelled frieze with a short drawer to each side, on square tapering legs, inlaid with trailing husks and headed by floral paterae, probably originally with gilt-metal feet, possibly originally conceived without drawers
