These hunting scenes traditionally included falcon, lion, ostrich, fox, unicorn, rhinoceros, wolf, bear and boar hunts and were inspired by engravings after Giovanni Stradano (d. 1605), Karel van Mander the Younger (d. 1623), David Vinckeboons (d. 1629) and Français Etienne Delaune (d. 1583).

Woven in wools, depicting an elephant hunt, with various hunters on horseback and a herd of charging elephants, within an exotic wooded landscape with palm trees and a village in the background, in a brown outer slip, lacking borders, areas of reweaving and patching
