A Large Silver Wire Cloisonne Baluster Vase
Ito, Meiji Period
decorated in coloured enamels on a dark blue ground, depicting a continious scene with a pheasant and hen standing on rocks covered with grass and flowers below trailing maple branches amid a fast flowing river, a song bird in-flight to the reverse, all within bands of floral lappets, impressed Ito seal mark to the metal base, carved fitted wooden stand -- 17¾in. (45cm.) high.
