An ivory kidney-shaped box and cover
19th century
the finial modelled as three Immortals standing around a large pot with swirling water to the interior, the sides carved in relief with gentlemen at leisure in a rocky bamboo grove, variously dancing and playing music, the interior stained to simulate woodgrain -- 5¼in. (13.5cms) long, signed and sealed to reverse, (split to cover and base).
