A Shibayama and silver filigree rectangular dish
19th century
inlaid in mother-of-pearl, coral and stained ivory with a central panel of two Mandarin ducks perched on rockwork amongst peonies and a blossoming tree on a gold lacquer ground, within a pierced silver filligree border cast with demi kiku sprays and scrolling foliage, the underside with a silver signature tablet on a nashiji lacquer ground -- 7½in. (19cms) long, (minor losses).
