The mizusashi with heavily-potted body of irregular cylindrical form with a slightly everted mouth, the reddish stoneware body with a splash of ash glaze on one side reaching down to the foot, black-lacquered lid, with inscribed label Shigaraki Fin XVIe, restored chip to rim; the vase of cylindrical form with a band of five impressed cherry blossom motifs below the shoulder, a hanging loop on one side, the body covered in a greyish glaze
