Two Kyo-Yaki Sake-Flasks and a koro
Edo Period (Mid-19th Century)
The flasks of typical form with ovoid bodies and tall narrow necks, the crackled ground decorated in green and blue enamels and gilt with, respectively, autumn plants and plum blossom, both with restored necks; the koro cylindrical, supported on three bracket feet, the crackled ground decorated in coloured enamels and gilt, turned ivory lid, slight crack to rim
The sake-flasks: 9 5/8in. and 9 1/8in. (24.5cm. and 23.2cm) high respectively
The koro: 2 3/8in. (5.9cm.) high (3)
