English translation-
Today is the third day of the twelfth month nineteenhundredeighty-eight Alighiero e Boetti next to the Pantheon
between hammer and anvil- words fly writing remains- nineteenhundredeighty-eight- broken leg long arms- to follow the thread of conversation- five x five twentyfive- the person and the personality- sometime light sometimes shadow- between horizontal and vertical- to melt like snow in the sun- to leave certainty for uncertainty- a pack of complete loss of identity- black on white and white on black- when the words are tired- babble away about this and that

Farsi text-
I lay claim to my yearning until my wishes are fulfilled. Otherwise, I should unite my soul with my lover or leave my body. If you converse with us, then you are one of us. Otherwise, you should get a bad reputation. Taciturnity, abstinence and little sleep are considered attributes of good people. During prayer, I was reminded of your arched eyebrows. And these aroused my attention and took me so far away until the place of prayer called for me. Being patient is bitter, but it has a sweet end. Embroidery by Alighiero e Boetti
