Leaves 1/4-39/7 with printed foliation I-CCLX. 46 lines and headline, double column, a few printed guide-letters. Types: 1:160G (headings), 2:99bG(91) (text). 2- to 6-line initials and paragraph marks alternating red and blue, MS guide-letters and quiring, a number of deckle edges preserved. (Slight uniform browning, dampstain to extreme lower margins.) Contemporary South German blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards, sides tooled with rosette, fleur-de-lys, and bird stamps (not in Kyriss or Schwenke-Sammlung), bifolia from a partially-written manuscript on paper as pastedowns, evidence of fore-edge clasp, title lettered on fore-edge. Provenance: extensive contemporary marginalia -- Ulrich Rittenberg, 1505 (deleted inscription on 1/1r) -- JOHANNES FABER, canon of Basel and vicar in Constance (inscription on 1/1r) -- 16th-century German woodcut armorial bookplate of a pelican in piety, surmounted by the same pelican as a crest -- Bibliothecae Würgelianae[?] deservio (inscription on pastedown) -- Bibliotheca Schubert (19th-century engraved bookplate) -- Niels Hansen Christensen (sale Sotheby Parke Bernet, 16 November 1976) -- Ned J.
