The engraved white gold rectangular case, the top with a cut-out pink gold panel depicting a series of butterflies, birds, flowers and leaves, enhanced by cabochon rubies, set above a mirror, to the pink gold thumb-piece, opening to reveal two slide-out mirrors, two lipstick holders, a comb and two compartments (accompanied by two suede covers, one brown and one beige), circa 1940, 13.0 x 8.5 x 2.0 cm., with French assay marks
