A GOLD, ENAMEL, DIAMOND AND RUBY VANITY CASE, BY BOUCHERON
The rectangular pink and yellow gold case, the trim engraved with acanthus leaves, the front designed as a pink gold-cut plaque, depicting flowers and leaves, with cabochon ruby detail, applied with two polychrome enamel and single-cut diamond birds, all set above a mirror, to the engraved thumb-piece, opening to reveal the pink gold cut-out interior, all with engraved birds, flowers and leaves and set above gold ground, the inside lid with two slide-out panels revealing the mirror, and the base with a comb, two lipstick holders and two compartments, 1950, 13.0 x 8.5 x 2.0 cm., with French assay marks, in a Boucheron grey suede case
