Caspar John (1903-1984), the second son of Augustus and Ida, can easily be distinguished from all his brothers by his almond-shaped eyes. Caspar was a founding father of the Fleet Air Arm and was promoted to Admiral in 1957 and First Sea Lord in 1960.
