Mark of August Friedrich Lorenz Peters, Berlin, 1824-1841, further stamped with the mark of Johann George Hossauer
Tapering cylindrical and in the Gothic revival style, on fourteen ball feet with cusped arched apron above, the reeded scroll handle with gothic foliage terminals, the hinged domed cover with foliate scroll thumbpiece and detachable Royal Prussian eagle finial, chased with a band of stylised foliage, the body applied with ribbon-tied oak-leaf and acorn cartouche, marked on base
