A set of six George III silver-gilt wine-coasters, from the Sutton Service
Mark of Philip Rundell, London, 1819
Each cylindrical, on circular foot with acanthus border, the sides elaborately cast, pierced and chased with reclining putti and leopards in a grape arbor, with cast foliate shell border, the centre engraved with a coat of arms, marked on foot-rim and centre, the foot-rim also stamped RUNDELL BRIDGE ET RUNDELL AURIFICES REGIS PRINCIPIS WALLIAE LONDINI, with wooden inset base
6½in. (16cm.) diam.
The arms are those of Sutton (6)
