An early Steiff teddy bear
with golden mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs with felt pads, soft stuffing, hump and blank button in ear --12½in. (32cm.) high, circa 1905 (small bald patches on top and back of head, lower back and left ankle, some thinning of mohair and stuffing shifted in limbs)
