A fine Steiff teddy bear
with golden mohair, brown and black glass eyes, pronounced part clipped muzzle, black stitched mouth, claws and remains of nose, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs with felt pads, hump, growler and button in ear --24in. 61cm.) high, circa 1910 (missing nose stitching and very slight holes in feet pads) and a Schuco miniature teddy bear with white mohair, black pin eyes, black stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, jointed metal framed body and felt hands and feet --2¼in. (5.5cm.) high (slight wear and missing one hand)

Lot Essay

The original owner of this Steiff bear was Mrs. Goldie Steck (maiden name unknown). She received this bear as a gift from her father who worked in the Steiff factory in Giengen, Germany. The family later moved to America where the family lived in Phoenix, Arizona.
