with mythical-beast head and loose ring handles, the finial carved with Guanyin seated on the back of a recumbent mythical beast, the neck carved with two lohans among clouds above foaming waves, above a wide panel carved and pierced with immortals and attendants at leisure pursuits and riding mythical beasts, before and within a terraced pavillion among pine, stained ivory inset carved and pierced wooden stand, the ivory vase and cover -- 11¼in. (28.5cm.) high, (the tail of the mythical beast on the cover is missing).
