A Canton enamel tea caddy and matched cover
18th and 19th Century
of rectangular shape with cylindrical cover, decorated in various coloured enamels with lotus, peonies, chrysanthemums, prunus and finger citrons on blue grounds -- 4 3/8in. (11.1cm.) high; and a similar enamel fruit bowl of shallow oval form, painted with shaped cartouches of bats amongst flower sprays within scrolling floral grounds, the rim with bands of shou characters and geometric designs -- 13¾in. (35cm.) wide, (minor restoration and nibbles).
