A lacquered wood figure of Buddha
Ming dynasty
seated with legs crossed on a stylised lotus base his loose flowing robes draped over his hands, the rounded face with meditative expression, pendulous earlobes and downcast eyes below tightly curled hair, with red and green pigments remaining to the base and traces of gilding to the face -- 14½ (36.9cm.) high (old damages).
