A carved agate snuff bottle

of rounded rectangular form, the body of grey tone carved through a honey-brown inclusion with a cat observing two butterflies above it among rocks and foliage carved into the grey stone, the reverse with the two large characters Ji Xiang, hardstone stopper -- 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high; a rounded rectangular smoky crystal snuff bottle, the translucent stone carved with two goldfish to one side and two monkeys among rockwork to the other, the eyes of the fish and one monkey highlighted by dark-brown inclusions, hardstone stopper -- 2 3/8in. (6.1cm.) high.
