An incised green and yellow octagonal vase
Daoguang, incised Haoran tang zhi four character mark
of archaistic gu form, the spreading base incised with swastika pattern, the mid section with lotus petals and the flaring neck with overlapping stiff leaves, the rim with central cinquefoil aperture -- 4¼in. (10.8cms) high.

The commendation mark to the base may be translated as 'Made In The Hall Of Greatness', which may be an illusion to 'Haoran zhi qi', the aim of self cultivation as preached by Mencius.
