Two famille rose Meissen-style stands
Circa 1770-1780
each modelled with two cherubs embracing a gnarled tree trunk applied with moulded flowers, the cherubs with black enameled eyes and hair and pink tinted flesh, amongst blue, iron red enameled and gilt billowing drapery -- 12in. (30.5cms) high max, (some restoration).

The stands, originally with pierced baskets, were modelled after Meissen originals of circa 1740 and formed part of a table centrepiece comprising a lemon basket surrounded by small shaped bowls, which would stand on a large shaped two-handled porcelain tray. (2)
