A Cantonese punch bowl

painted and gilt to the interior and exterior with shaped panels of dignitaries and ladies on terraces alternating with birds and butterflies amongst flowers, all on green gold scroll grounds reserved with butterflies, the rims with a band of floral cartouches amid dense fruits and flowers -- 15¾in. (40cm.) diam, (gilt and enamel rubbing).
