This table would appear to have been made in the Antiquarian taste of the early 19th century and incorporates many earlier stylistic features; the scrolling spandrels may even be of an earlier date. The top merits some consideration because of its unusual construction; it appears that an earlier plank top (visible from beneath) has been encased in veneers of oak which are clearly pinned to those earlier planks.
