An ecclesiastical hat of black satin, of square form, the four shaped panels embroidered in couched gilt thread and silks with the letters IHS within a circular cartouche, the two embroidered streamers worked with a flowering plant issuing from a vase, possibly for the Greek Orthodox church in China, circa 1900
