FANS FROM THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE MRS JOAN STEVENS Mrs Stevens began collectiong fans in 1937 at the age of 17 and added on to her collection until the early 1960s. She bought in local antique shops and at local auctions and acquired a large group from Mrs Craig-Brown who collected around 1900. Many of the repairs were carried out at Duvelleroy in New Bond Street. The fine craftmanship and wide variety of designs found in her collection of fans gave her great pleasure
