An embroidered border, worked in red silks in cross stitch with pomegranates and flowers stemming from a straight vine, Azzemour, Morroco, 18th century--4 x 73in. (10 x 186cm); an embroidered band of ivory muslin, worked in crimson silk with pairs of pheonixes flanking pomegranates within formalised foliate scrolls--6 x 78¾in. (15 x 200cm) joined to a similar band--5½ x 112in. (14 x 284cm); two further similar embroidered bands, one incorporating lions and mythical birds; four fragmentary embroidered bands with pulled thread work worked in red silk, two with figures and dogs, and two with a fruiting grape vine; and a narrow embroidered border worked with pairs of deer flanking urns of flowers, Southern European, probably 18th century (9)
