A pair of Wedgwood black-basalt oil lamps and covers
Impressed marks, mid 19th century
Boat-shaped, each modelled with a seated female figure, one reading a book, the other holding a jug, the shoulder of the lamp moulded with radiating gadroons, the sides with a band of acorn leaves and fruit, above a band of stiff leaves, on socle foot above shaped square base (the foot of one with section lacking, the other with small chips)
