A Victorian porcelain strut timepiece adapted from a Meissen table mirror frame

The movement in the manner of Thomas Cole, the porcelain frame moulded to simulate jewels separated by flowerheads and enclosing an acanthus leaf band, surmounted by two putti, the lower section with berried laurel branches, on a folding strut support, the silvered oval dial within a brass slip and with engraved borders of running scrolls, painted with Roman chapters, the centre engraved with strapwork, blued steel beetle hands, with shuttered winding holes to the single barrel movement with plain steel three arm lever balance
