An exceedingly rare bottle at auction. The donation of this vineyard, by Thomas Collignon, to the Hospice was the first of its kind from the Côte de Nuits. Lovingly, the cuvée is named after his mother.
"Perfect wines are exceedingly rare, and until that day in Madame Bize-Leroy's cellars, I had never tasted what I thought to be the quintessential red burgundy. I have no doubt about this wine: It has everything, and when I smelled it, I knew that it was something beyond reason, beyond previous tasting parameters. How does one describe it?
