A FINE LOUIS XV FOUR-COLOUR GOLD SNUFF-BOX
by Jean Frémin (fl. 1738-1786), marked, Paris, 1758/1759, with the charge and discharge marks of Eloy Brichard 1756-1762
Oblong oval box, the wavy cartouches on cover, sides and base finely chased in four-colour gold with flowersprays on a sunburst ground, the wavy reeded borders engraved with trailing foliage and flowerheads
