Flattened oval box, probably formerly a patch-box, the cover, four side panels and base engine-turned with horizontal reeding stamped with stars and pellets, within fluted borders, the sides divided by four pilasters chased with mirrored foliate c-scrolls, the matted gold rims chased with foliate c-scrolls, leaves, flowerheads and ovolos
