The initial may be that of Henri of Bourbon, Comte de Chambord (1820-1883), pretender to the French throne after 1836. He was the son of the duc de Berry and his wife Marie-Caroline of Naples-Two-Siciles.

Rectangular box with wavy outlines, the lid centred by a circular slightly raised plaque enamelled in translucent blue on a concentrical bright-cut engine-turned ground and applied with old-cut diamond silver-mounted scrolling Gothic initial 'H' a Royal crown above, flanked by six raised silver-mounted old-cut diamonds surrounded by cast gold ivy leaves interwoven with branches on a matted ground, the wavy bulging sides and base engraved with strapwork, scrolls and flowers, the incorporated thumbpiece cast with ivy leaves
