Lot Essay

The Weems model watch was released by Longines during World War II as a smaller counterpart to the Lindbergh Hour Angle aviator's wristwatch.

When the bezel is rotated in conjunction with radio time signals, one can account for the difference in local time and Greenwich Mean Time. Once adjusted, the bezel can be locked in place by the crown near 2 o'clock.
