The case with polygonal handle with foliate scroll supports rising from a stepped top with bevelled glass viewing panel, with solid side panels, the rear door with silk backed fret panel, the part bombé base raised on block feet, the silvered dial profusely engraved overall with foliate scrolls, the chapter ring with painted Roman numerals and signed on the minute track BARRAUD & LUND, CORNHILL LONDON 1572, with blued steel moon hands, the twin chain fusee movement with high quality platform to the cut bimetallic compensated balance with lever escapement, strike on bell to the backplate with repeat signature
