CAST AFTER MATHURIN MOREAU

Born in 1822, Mathurin Moreau (d.1912) studied under his father Jean Baptiste Moreau. He exhibited at the Salon, wining a medal in 1877 and another at the 1900 Paris Great Exhibition. He specialised in allegorical and classical groups, statuettes of historic personalities and busts of his centemporaries.
