A late 19th-Century 3-inch lacquered-brass refracting telescope,
signed on backplate SLATER LONDON, the 38in. (96.5cm.) long body-tube with removable objective lens and dust cap (dust cap stuck), with rack and pinion and draw-tube focusing to the eyepiece extension tube, the star finder with dust cap, two screw fixtures for mounting, six various eyepieces (some possibly unrelated), a lead plummet on string and two home-made shading discs, contained in the original fitted pine case with two brass hooks and eyes and two iron strap handles, painted black --41in. (104.1cm.) long
