MATURE AND EXCELLENT CLARET INCLUDING THE RARE CHATEAU PETRUS AND MOUTON ROTHSCHILD 1982

In original wooden cases
Château Pétrus--Vintage 1975
Pomerol, cru exceptionnel. Château-bottled
Some slightly corroded capsules. Excellent labels. Two bottles with slighlty sign of seepage. Levels: eight bottles base of neck or better and one bottle top-shoulder
Tasting note: the 1975 Pétrus reveals a youthful, rustic, brutally powerful style, with an opaque garnet/ruby/purple color and an emerging nose of over-ripe black cherries, mocha/chocolate, and truffles. Extremely full-bodied, ferociously tannic, but awesomely concentrated, the 1975 Pétrus can be drunk, provided readers have a penchant for slightly incivilized wines. This behemoth Pétrus (the last made in this style) is at least a decade away from full maturity. It is potentially a 50-year wine, with exquisite concentration ans intensity. Last tasted, 6/98. 98+ points. Robert Parker, Bordeaux. A Comprehensive Guide. Third Edition
