A Royal Worcester lobed oviform vase
Date code for 1914, printed crowned mark in puce, shape H4/278
Painted by Ernest Barker with two Highland sheep among boulders and heather in a misty mountainous landscape, signed, the reverse with a small vignette of scrub, the shoulder moulded with flower and spear-head pendant ornament below a pierced neck, the foot moulded with a stiff-leaf band, enriched in gilding with parts painted to simulate bronze (cover missing)
