A Royal Worcester urn-shaped two-handled vase and cover
Date code for 1902, printed crowned mark in puce, shape 2271, impressed numerals
Painted by John Stinton with two Highland cattle amongst heather and bouders in a misty Higland landscape, signed, the reverse with a lesser vignette of birds in flight in a mountainous landscape, below a gilt gadrooned shoulder applied with a band of beading and scroll handles moulded with paterae and husk ornament, the stem moulded with bands of acanthus above a circular foot with a band of beading to the edge, on a fretted square base with canted corners moulded with rosettes, the cover gadrooned below band of beading and a waisted section and a further fixed cover moulded with a radiating band of overlapping stiff leaves, with a tear-drop finial (small restored section to the rim of the vase, one handle restored)
